ABOUT ME
My name is Esztella Levko, I am an actress and teacher. I studied at the London Rose Bruford College, and also spent a year at the Moscow State University of Cinematography.
Thanks to my international film and theater work, I work in several languages (English, Hungarian, Russian).
During my film career so far, I have had the opportunity to work with prestigious international artists such as British director Amma Asante. We worked together on her film Billion Dollar Spy, starring Russell Crowe. I also had a role in the Canadian HBO miniseries Rematch, directed by the Oscar-nominated Yan England. Another important international film project of mine was Wim Vandekeybus’s Galloping Mind. I also played the lead role in the British production Locked In, which received significant international recognition.
In Hungarian, viewers may know me primarily as a regular cast member of the television series Jóban rosszban.
I gained my theater experience through collaborations with numerous European companies, where I mastered the methods of physical theater in addition to classical theatrical language. During my acting career, I have worked with such outstanding companies as the Polish Gardzienice Center, the Italian Compagnia Pippo Delbono, the French Compagnie Philippe Genty, and the Slovenian ViaNegativa. I was also a guest artist at the Csiky Gergely Theater in Timișoara.
After working abroad, I returned to Hungary, where my performances were primarily presented at the Trafó House of Contemporary Arts and Jurányi House.
In addition to my acting work, I am a guest lecturer at East 15 Acting School in London, and I regularly hold acting workshops in Hungary and abroad.
I am a co-founder of the Sarolta Cultural and Public Space.
